HEALTH IMPLICATION OF PRESIDENT MUHAMMODU BUHARI IN THE POLITY.

We the Yoruba Council of Youths Worldwide (YCYW): a Non Political group and Coalition of ALL the various Yoruba indigenous youth and student organizations in Nigeria and In Diaspora committed towards the promotion of the aesthetic Yoruba cultural heritage and values, as well as ensuring peaceful coexistence and adequate welfare of her members and Nigerians as at when due.

In the spirit of love, we laconically frown at the widely circulated virile media reports on death rumor of President Muhammodu Buhari by some agent provocateurs, clandestinely motivated to cause unwarranted crises in the polity, knowing-fully well that Mr. President deserves our prayers, unflinching support and immeasurable love at this critical point of his life, while wishing him quick recovery.

We condemn in its entirety such ungodly and wicked wish, while reiterating our stand that inorder to clear the doubt and anxiety vested in the hearts of many Nigerians and the international community, it highly important to draw up a conscious line of reality on the state of health of Mr. President, whose attendant effects due to lack of adequate information or non communication via public phone conversation address of all Nigerians, this has raised lots of vilified controversies, unexpected political permutations and ethnic shenanigans, due to the conflicting reports from various quarters and particularly in the Presidency.

In as much as we alongside all Nigerians have overridden interests and love for our President, it must be noted with clear emphasis on the constitutional provisions that provides panaceas in situation wherein the President is presumed incapacitated on health ground to continuously run the affairs of the country, Section 144 Sub Section 1 (a), (b), 2, 3,4(a) and (b),  as well as further provisions in Section 146(1), which gives the clear navigation and onus of responsibility on the President of the Senate in such circumstance as this, so as to set up a Medical Panel Committee, which comprise of President Buhari’s Personal Physician and four other eminent Medical Practitioners of high repute, to investigate and report on the state of health of Mr. President.

We sincerely speak with all sense of modesty and authorized umbrella body of all Yoruba Youths organizations in Nigeria and globally, we shall appreciate if the needful is done in order to avert unhealthy presumptuous views, which is capable of affecting the smooth running of government. Hence, having confirmed from the serial letters of the President to the Senate and reality on the age and state of health of our dear President, it is of utmost advice to the Senate as a matter of necessity to consider this path of decorum, and put an end to any further controversies.
We are extremely confident in our President, especially in his unprecedented landmark achievements in the fight against corruption, which has taken us to the apex pedestal of hope towards attaining economic greatness and emancipation of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

We love our President, and no one should take the advantage of the forgoing circumstances to lead the nation astray. We look forward to the Senate accelerated investigation and intervention.
Long Live Federal Republic of Nigeria!
