Angry youths move against Ajah’s family for failing to worship oracle

Angry youths in a local village in Imo State, Nigeria have moved against a family named Ajah over the refusal of the family to worship the local idols and worship the oracle, Iyi Mgbede. It was gathered that on the 15th March, 2017, the angry village youths vandalized and burnt down properties belonging to the family.
It was gathered that the violent group took the decision because Ajah’s family failed to appease the village god (IYI MGBEDE) as custom demands. Findings also revealed that the entire community became enraged and unanimously resolved to carry out the orders of the deity messenger to destroy properties belonging to the Ajah's family in the community as punishment for their non adherence to respect the deity's orders and for failing to worship the oracle IYI MGBEDE. Angry youths are also complaining that the family failed to perform rituals and other traditional rites on the land. It was gathered that family’s believe in Christianity and family's faith as Jehovah's witnesses may have brought about their refusal to worship the oracle.
Meanwhile, it was learnt that Mr Ajah who is the owner of destroyed properties have left the country with his family before the incident occur. The incident can be referred to as unjustified mayhem of a local deity
